Emergency Response Plan
The School of Medicine Emergency Response Plan was created to disseminate information accurately and timely in the event of an emergency. Information will be sent through several channels: voicemail; email; and paging devices. The School Emergency Management Team will notify emergency coordinators by text messages if a situation should arise within their building or department. Therefore, Division Emergency Coordinator/s will be required to carry an alphanumeric paging device (Stanford or non-Stanford pager, cell phone or PDA).
Responsibilities of the Division Emergency Coordinator's
- Be familiar with Division emergency procedures
- Have access to Division phone tress at work and at home
- Know whom to contact within the Division for emergencies involving specific Division space
- Responsible for initiating Division emergency procedures if instructed to do so by the School Emergency Management Team
Emergency Response Plans should be updated annually. A copy of the updated plan along with an updated copy of the division phone tree should be forwarded to Sue Harrington in the Department of Medicine's Business Office.
