Capital Equipment
Capital Equipment are assets that meet the following criteria:
- Must cost more than $1,500. Beginning 9/1/2003 it will be $5,000
- Must have a useful life of more than one year
- Must not be affixed to the building or structure.
Stanford's equipment inventories and property management systems are under scrutiny by the Office of Naval Research. The online record keeping system is CAMS (Capital Asset Management System).
