Institutional Review Boards (IRBs)
Stanford University's Administrative Panels on Human Subjects in Medical Research, is also called Institutional Review Boards (IRBs). All research on human subjects must be reviewed and approved by the appropriate Human Subjects Panel. Research can not begin until notification of Panel approval.
