Faculty Searches
In order to hire a new faculty member the Division must first obtain approval from the Chair of the Department. Once approval has been given, the Division will Initiate a Search in order to secure the very best candidate. A search committee is appointed and is composed of a Chair and members. The committee must be at or above the proposed rank of the candidate being sought. Initially an advertisement for the position must be placed in a peer-reviewed journal and a letter soliciting names of candidates, and a list of the individuals and organizations to receive the letter must be prepared.
